These are the major postures, the big milestones, of the second part of the Yang Chengfu Long Form. There is much in the transition between these major postures that can only be taught to you by an experienced teacher.

The numbering starts from the previous list of movements from part 1 of the form. New movements are shown in bold text. Movements that have already occurred in the form, and which are repeated are shown in plain text.

Where the same movement is repeated, the number of repetitions is sown as x4 or x5. The number of repeats for movements like, Step Back and Repulse the Monkey or Cloud Hands varies between schools. It’s not something to get hung up about.

The movements from Right Separation Kick onwards, are often described as the ‘kicking section’ of the form, because it is here that kicks first appear.
